Before we tell you about the creation of the LEO collection, we want to remind you about the lion (sculpture) as a symbol in different cultures from the point of view of philosophy and history.
The lion is a symbol of wisdom and courage, generosity and nobility, military strength and military valor, royalty, success and power, protection and patronage.
The image of the lion in world religions is surrounded by a halo of sanctity:
In Buddhism, Buddha was called the lion among men and was personified as courage, wisdom, faith and protection of order;
In Hinduism, Vishnu was transformed into a half-man half-lion.
In Islam, Mohammed’s son-in-law was called the lion of Allah, and the lion symbolized the destruction of evil and the protection of good.
In Christianity the word of God is likened to the roaring of a lion, and some saints were thrown to the lions, but they did not touch the righteous.
In Isaiah’s prophecy, the lion lies next to the sheep. This biblical symbolism represents a man who fully controls his feelings, curbing bloodlust, transforming power into love.
In Asia, a lion was often depicted playing with balls, which were symbols of the sun. Thus emphasized the commonality of the celestial luminary and the divine predator.
That is why, over time, the combination of these factors and led sculptors to worship the image of the lion. That is why even in our time among ordinary people there are many admirers of the image of the lion, and the favorite sculpture is a sculpture of a lion made of marble.
Having finished with the history, let’s move on to practice.
In our projects we rely first of all on the symbol, no, not pulling it “by the ears” to the already created product, but I start from it at the stage of formation of the main concept.
We have always been attracted by the sculpture of a lion sitting at the entrance to the building. Its energy, its history, its image.
The traditional, one could say “antique” image is nothing but a foundation for “building” a new form based on established dogmas.
We have developed, designed a new collection of interior and decorative objects, furniture, lamps – “LEO”
Everything is changing, moving forward, and it is wonderful, each new era, both social and artistic has its own basic features, formal rules, neglecting which is fraught.

This is the era of simplification, minimization, intuition and freedom. This moment is reflected in form and content. A perfect example is the fruit company’s famous smartphone – one button, minimum action, maximum result.
In the process of creating the image of LEO collection we rely on the classic sculpture of a sitting lion at the entrance to the building, the color solution and form came from the famous poster of El Lissitzky (Soviet artist and architect, one of the representatives of the Russian avant-garde, who contributed to the emergence of Suprematism in architecture) “Beat the Whites with a red wedge”.
Floor floor lamp, dispersing soft, a kind of intimate light on the floor at a distance of up to 10 meters.
As a result, we got not just an interior object, but an art object that can be the compositional center of any room, with real functionality.
